VOLUNTEER POSITION: eCommerce Operations Assistant – Student Volunteer

What you need to know:

  • An on-line orientation session is required before your first volunteer shift.
  • All volunteers must be a minimum of 16 years old.
  • Volunteers under the age of 18 require a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
  • Shifts are self-scheduled via Online Registration
  • Volunteer shift is 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Volunteers are required to wear CSA approved green label safety shoes. (If needed are available onsite for volunteers).

Warehouse Location: (101 Alexdon road, North York, ON M3J 2B5)

 

Position Responsibilities:

As an eCommerce Operations Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day activities of our eCommerce team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Product Staging and Photography
    1. Work closely with the team to prepare products for photography, ensuring they are clean and presentable.
    2. Assist in capturing high-quality images of products, creating visually appealing posts.
  • Photography Editing 
    1. Use editing software to enhance and optimize product images for online listings.
    2. Ensure that product photos are aligned with our brand's aesthetic and quality standards.
  • Inventory Sorting
    1. Organize and sort incoming inventory, ensuring accurate product counts.
    2. Build, assemble and measure products for online product postings.
    3. Help maintain an organized and efficient storage area.
  • Online Product Postings
    1. Collaborate with the E-commerce team to create Shopify product listings.
    2. Conduct research on copywriting techniques to craft compelling product descriptions.
    3. Assist in potential pricing research to ensure competitive and market-appropriate pricing strategies.

Qualifications / Skills / Physical Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for photography.
  • Basic knowledge of photography and image editing software is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and eager to learn.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Positive attitude towards tasks and teamwork. We’re here to have fun and grow our eCommerce operations together!
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Must be able to commute to the Central Distribution Centre
  • Data input skills and computer proficiency
